The next machine to be broken down is chosen based on popularity. After a machine is chosen, it is washed, then brought into the shop.
If machines are operable they are tested, then the tear down process begins. The machines are completely stripped down to individual parts and each part is inspected when removed. Now the parts go to the cleaning area to be washed in our powerful cabinet style parts washer. At this point all old gasket material is removed and parts are reinspected. It is at this time that all electrical parts are inspected for functionality. All cylinder heads are cleaned, inspected and decked on a flat plate. Pistons are cleaned of carbon buildup and most blocks get a quick hone and are checked for signs of wear.
